Born in South Louisiana, Jarred, being 4th generation oilfield, moved to Houston when his father was transferred in the early 90s. After travelling and working around the world for 12 years, Jarred took an assignment back in Houston where he met his now wife of 13 years and started his family. He continues to work in the Oil and Gas industry today, however, during a downturn Jarred began filling his time with woodworking.
His enjoyment of woodworking combined with his knowledge of metal fabrication proved to be a useful combination for his creations. Jarred’s wife and three daughters are also involved in the process of making his designs. When the company was created, it was decided to incorporate his daughter’s names into the name of the company, a letter for each of their first names….LAO Products LLC was born!
Jarred’s childhood friend, who is a principal partner of a real estate development company, reached out when looking for custom furniture made from the salvaged materials removed from one of the properties being developed. This started a continuing business relationship providing custom feature pieces for these ventures.
